Bob Tempel

Robert P. Tempel, 85, of Payne, passed away at home Saturday, October 19, 2013.

Bob was born in Paulding, Ohio on July 12, 1928, a son of the late Esther (Beamer) and Rupert  Tempel.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army & was a machinist at Essex Wire for 21 years & Uniroyal Goodrich for 22 years.  He also enjoyed fishing.

He was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Parish and Payne American Legion Post 297.

On Sept 2, 1950 he married Marlene Harting.

Bob will be fondly remembered by his wife, Marlene; children, Tom (Kim Waldschmidt) of Ft Wayne, Judy (Dwight) Redmon of Napoleon, Bobbi (Todd) Champany, Jeff (Sheila) both of Payne, Dan (Deb) Of New Haven, IN & Amy (Brad) Yenser of Payne; sister, Jean Zartman of Payne; 13 grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren.

Viewing is Tuesday, 3pm to 7:30 pm, with a vigil service at 7:30pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne, where viewing is also Wednesday, 9-930 am.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated  at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Payne, at 10 am on Wednesday, October 23, 2013.

Bob will be laid to rest at Lehman Cemetery, with military honors.
