Bruce E. Helton, II

Bruce E. Helton, II, 64, of Leo, Indiana passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019.

Bruce was born in Fort Wayne on March 20, 1955. 

He rose to the rank of Lieutenant in his nine and one half years of service in the United States Navy, where he was a Line Officer and Divisional Officer for troop transport.

Bruce was a devout, religious man who loved the Lord. He enjoyed swimming, rifle marksmanship and reading.

Bruce will be sadly missed by his father, Bruce, Sr. of Fort Wayne; children, Bruce Helton, III of Leo, Stephanie Helton of Fort Wayne & Shelby Helton of Huntertown; sisters, Susan (Frederick) Helton-Groce of Indianapolis & Leslie Ann Moore of El Paso and his four legged friend, Remy.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Ann (Bowers) Helton & brother, Brent Helton.

Viewing is 9 AM to 10 AM on Wednesday, September 18th at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne, Ohio.  

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 18th at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 203 W. Townline, Payne, Ohio.

He will be laid to rest at St John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Payne, with military honors.
