Cara Lou Hicks

Cara Lou Hicks, 73, of Payne, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Cara Lou was born in Paulding on November 29, 1941, a daughter of the late Elizabeth E (Yenser) and Leonard A Zartman.

She worked in Executive Benefits at Lincoln National Life for 17 years, but her greatest achievement was her family. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her family & friends will always cherish her kind smile & laugh. Cara Lou loved to travel, play the slots and always made the most of the holidays.    

On Oct 13, 1962 Cara Lou married Carles Hicks.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Carles; 2 children, Kathy (Michael) Priest of Payne & Michael (Julie) Hicks of Bethlehem, PA; 6 grandchildren, Matthew & Amanda Larimore, Jay (Katy) & Sara Priest and Miranda & Ethan Hicks and lifelong best friend, Jeanette Miller of Payne.

Her brothers, Ray & James Zartman preceded her in death.

Viewing is Wednesday 4 - 8 pm  at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne.
