We so wanted to share our condolences in person but we were both with colds. We are so sorry for your loss. Cara was a good landlord and will be remembered for her kind and generous ways.

Aunt Cara's laughter at Mamaw and Papaw's house is such a warm memory of my childhood. Wether we were there for Christmas or just a weekend morning for gravy & biscuits, she was always telling funny stories and doing her share of teasing. Carl, Kathy, and all other family members, I send you my deepest sympathies. I know that Aunt Cara will be missed and I wish that I could be there for her service. Know that you will be in my heart today!

Love,
Shelly

Carl and family--although it's been a long time since I saw you all, I remember fondly how much Mom enjoyed spending time with you. When I saw the picture of Cara in the boat, fishing, I thought of Mom and her fishing. You guys were so good to her. I know that they will see each other again. Prayers for you all.

With Kathy as my witness, Cara & I often joked that I was her 2nd daughter & her my 2nd mom. After years of camping, carpooling and slumber parties Cara will always hold a special place in my heart. Thanks to Carl, Kathy and Mike for sharing a special lady. Love, Glenda & Jerry

My prayers to the entire family of Cara Hicks. I had the great pleasure of knowing Cara since I was in high school. Spent time with her family and then later in life, I lived in a house her and Carl owned. They were always good to me and my daughter Sam. My heart goes out to all of her family and I pray for peace for all of you.
