Cheryl Saylor

April 23, 1960 — August 14, 2025

Haviland

Cheryl R. Saylor, 65, of Haviland, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025 at her home.

Cheryl was born in Anderson, Indiana on April 23, 1960, a daughter of the late Opal (Howard) & Jack Ashba.

Cheryl was a devoted seamstress for many years. On October 21, 1978, she married the love of her life, Lennis Brent Saylor. A passionate researcher of her family’s genealogy, Cheryl found joy in uncovering the stories of generations past. She had a deep love for animals and was a loyal Chicago Bears fan. She enjoyed tending to her flowers in her spare time. Nothing brought her more happiness, though, than the time she spent with her grandchildren and family, whom she cherished above all else.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Brent Saylor; children, Matthew (Alyssa) Saylor & Michelle (Jesse) Orona; brother, Andrew Ashba; & 7 grandchildren.

Cheryl was also preceded in death by her son, Benjamin Levi Saylor.

Service is Wednesday, August 20th at 10:30 AM with viewing 9-10:30 AM at Dooley Funeral Home, Payne.

She will be laid to rest in Wiltsie Cemetery.

Memorials are to the American Heart Association.
