Clifton Hicks, 73, of Payne, passed away at 10:53 AM, Monday, November 22, 2010 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Clifton was born in Fredsville, Kentucky on September 4, 1937, a son of the late Julia (Wireman) and Bertral Hicks.
He worked at BF Goodrich, retiring in 1997, but also worked at Permaglass. He was a member of Continental Missionary Baptist Church.
On June 11, 1960 he married Clotine Slone, who survives. He will be sadly missed by his wife; daughter, Angie ( Neil) Gordon of Paulding; son, Greg (Nata) of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Katie, Vlad & Nika Hicks & Josiah Gordon; sisters, Terrie Baumgartner of Indianapolis & Donna DeVore of Payne; brothers, Billy Joe of Antwerp, Carles, Jacky & Lacy Dean all of Payne. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Bruxie Smalley & brother, Adrain.
Services are at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River St., Antwerp, at 11 am on Saturday, November 27th, with viewing one hour prior. Pastor Bruce Robertson will officiate.
Viewing is also Friday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
Burial is at Lehman Cemetery.
Memorials are to Continental Missionary Baptist Church.
