Dale Bowers

Dale Bowers, 77, of Antwerp, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at his residence.  

Dale was born in Defiance, Ohio on September 28, 1935, a son of the late Mildred (Rittenhouse) &  Joseph  Bowers.

He worked at BF Goodrich & General Motors. Dale was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Parish, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and was an intricate part of the Holy Name Society.  

On March 24, 1956 he married Jane Houck.

Dale will be sadly missed by his wife, Jane; son, Doug (Marianne) of Angola; daughter, Beth (Jim) Coughlin of Antwerp; 7 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.    

He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Marilyn Skees & Suzanne Moser.
Viewing is Tuesday, 2-4 & 6-7:30 pm, with a Catholic Vigil Service at 7:30 pm, at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp where viewing is also Wednesday, 9 to 9:30 am.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Divine Mercy Catholic Parish , Antwerp, at 10 am on Wednesday, November 14th,  with Rev G. Allan Fillman officiating.

He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery.

Please omit flowers. Memorials are for Masses.

Sorry to hear of Dale's death. I remember him fondly as our youth league baseball coach. I always thought he was the ideal role model for youth with his high morals, respect for others and ethical approach to life. He was a good man.

So sorry for your loss, but I know it was getting harder and harder for Dale. You all worked so hard to give him the best of care.  He knew he was loved.  You've been in my thoughts and prayers.
