Darris "Duke" Albert

Darris "Duke" Olen Albert, 80, of Paulding, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice.

Duke was born in Paulding on May 3, 1946, a son of the late Willa Mae (Kisabeth) & Darris John Albert.

Duke enjoyed being outdoors, especially exploring the open road on his motorcycle and spending time out on the river. He loved his family, a cherished the moments he got to spend with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Phyllis (Perkins) to whom he was married July 10, 1965; children, MaeLee (Ed) Carlisle & Dave Albert (Amy Van Vlerah); grandchildren, Kyle, Tyler, Rylee, Amanda, & Emily; & 9 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra White.

Duke will be laid to rest privately.
