David Joseph Daeger

David Joseph Daeger, 76, formerly of Woodburn, Indiana passed away Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Cedarhurst Senior Living, Fort Wayne, Indiana. 

David was born in Fort Wayne on April 29, 1950, a son of the late Juanita R. (Rouch) and Alfred J. Daeger.

He served in the United States Marines as a Cpl in the Vietnam War. David went on to work in electronics technology and worked for and retired from GE, which eventually took him to Somerset, KY. He was most proud of raising his family to be kind and independent, like himself. He was a devoted husband and father who most loved being papaw to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

David will be sadly missed by his daughters, Heather (Chad Smith), Janelle (Larry) Sneegas, and Leslie (Maurice) Landers; siblings, Karen (Bob) Brush, Bruce (Terri) Daeger, Jan (The late Van) Kohart, and Steve (Jo) Daeger; grandchildren, Christian (Jesse), June, Deakon, Savannah, and Charlie; and great-grand children Brooklyn and Lillian.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Marla, and grandson, Austin Golliver.

Visitation is Thursday, October 1st at 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp, Ohio.

David's memorial service will be held at on Thursday, October 1st at 11:30 AM at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, with military honors.
