David Sidenbender

David V. Sidenbender, 77, of Hicksville, passed away June 22, 2025 at his home.  

Dave was born in Paulding on October 6, 1947, a son of Joan (Hughes) & the late James Sidenbender. 

He married his sweetheart on June 29, 1990, Betty was his nurse, wife, and best friend. Dave was a proud Army veteran who served his country with honor and dedication. After his military service, he worked at Dietrich for 12 years and spent another 10 years at the Auburn Foundry. He also owned Dave’s Tavern. Above all, Dave was a loving husband, son, father, and grandpa who cherished every moment spent with his family. 

He is a jack of all trades. He enjoyed his time on earth painting Bob Ross, camping at Marble Lake, fishing with his wife and friends, and hunting. Dave enjoyed his final moments listening to Over the Rainbow. 

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Betty (Conley) Sidenbender; sons, Mike (Peggy), Jeff (Heather), & Chris (Tonya) Ruoff; mother, Joan Sidenbender; sisters,Vicki and Ava Coil & Terri (Steve) Feasby; grandchildren, Aryah Ruoff, Haley Ruoff, Savannah (Ruoff) Jones, Taylor Ruoff, Preston Ruoff, Damian Ruoff, Ahna Ruoff, Adelyn Ruoff, and Landon Ruoff ; great grandchildren, Josie & Quincy Karris; his best friend Jim Farnsworth & Marcus (Ashley) Lamb; & nieces & nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by his father, Jim Sidenbender; brother, Brian Sidenbender; grandson, Cameron Ruoff & Finn MJ his fur-ever friend.

Dave will be laid to rest privately.
