Dennis Franklin Shambaugh

Dennis Franklin Shambaugh, 92, of New Haven, Indiana, passed away at home on Thursday, August 11, 2022. 

Dennis was born in Auburn,  on January 7, 1930, a son of the late Pearl (Reed) and Ora  Shambaugh.

As a child, Dennis loved roller skating and enjoyed a game of monopoly, mostly anytime! His interests turned to fishing and collecting International Farmall Tractors. Dennis retired from Fruehauf Trucking but remained active during his retired life.

He was the devoted husband of Betty (Mabis), loving father of Ronia (Scott) Krieg and Timothy Shambaugh; brother of Gwendolyn and Robert Shambaugh. He is also survived by grandchildren, Ben & Eric (Cindy) Freiburger, Austin Shambaugh & Monica (Sean) Eyanson; step grandchildren, Nicole Disch and Andrew, Jonathon & Taylor Krieg and great grandchildren, Charlotte, Abigail & Fiona Eyanson.

Dennis was also preceded in death by his siblings, Virginia Pflueger, Gene Shambaugh and Leona Vanzile.

A graveside service for Dennis will be held at Wiltsie Cemetery, 7877 Township Road 51, Payne, Ohio 45880 on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 10:30 am
