Edward Earl Kinnaley, 83, of Payne, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Stillwater Hospice, Fort Wayne,
Ed was born in Brazil, Indiana on October 28, 1941, a son of the late Mary Jane (Roberts) & John H. Kinnaley.
Ed was a devoted and hardworking man who spent many years with International Harvester. On June 23, 1962, he married the love of his life, Ruth (Woodruff), beginning a lifetime of love and companionship. A true dog lover, Ed especially adored his two great-grand pups. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Indiana Fever, and he never missed his morning soap operas. Ed had a deep appreciation for cars and took great pride in keeping his yard in top shape. Known for his sense of humor and playful spirit, he was always stirring up a little mischief and making others laugh. But beneath the jokes was a heart full of kindness—Ed was compassionate, helpful, and had a way of making everyone feel like a friend. He never met a stranger and left a smile on the face of anyone he talked to.
He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Ryan (Kelsey) Kinnaley & Allison (Stephen) Kinnaley-Trent; daughter in law, Jodie Kinnaley; siblings, David Kinnaley & John (Diane) Kinnaley.
Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; son, Donald Kinnaley; & sister, Nancy Sue Kinnaley.
A celebration of life for Ed will be held at a later date.
He will be laid to rest in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Payne.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Still Water Hospice, Fort Wayne.
