Edward L. Stabler

Edward "Lanny" Stabler, 75, of Payne passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Paulding County Hospital, Ohio. 

Lanny was born in Fort Wayne on November 3, 1945, a son of the late Theresa V. (Chomey) and Cletus R. Stabler.

He proudly served in both the Air Force and Navy reserves. Lanny worked at BF Goodrich and Zollner Pistons. He also served as trustee for Harrison Township for many years and was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church.

Lanny with be sadly missed by his wife, Charla (Hutchins), whom he married December 18, 1965; children, Christopher Stabler, Rolland Stabler, Jenifer (Roger) Nicelley, & Dennis (the late Angela) Stabler; siblings, Kenneth (Diana) Stabler, Rita (Winston) Gross, & Paul (Glenna) Stabler; 15 grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Proxmire. 

Viewing is Thursday, November 5th from 4-7 at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne.

Service is Friday, November 6th at 10 am with viewing one hour prior. 

Lanny will be laid to rest in Wiltsie Cemetery, with military honors.

Due to state mandate must wear masks at all times, maintain social distancing, and refrain from contact to keep everyone safe while participating in Lanny's viewing and funeral service.
