Floyd J. Brown, Jr., 80, of Defiance, formerly of Antwerp passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Defiance Regional Medical Center.
Floyd was born in Defiance, Ohio on February 18, 1945, a son of the late Beatrice (Kendall) and Floyd Brown, Sr.
As a young person, Floyd enjoyed hunting and fishing. He proudly served in the Army National Guard and went on to be a millwright at GM Powertrain. Floyd was also a member of Defiance Christian Church and the Amvets. His family will remember him as the biggest cheerleader for his grandkids. Those that knew him best will never forget his stubborn, sarcastic, yet loving personality.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Laura (Schomburg) Brown; children, Melinda (Matt) Brown, Chris (Michelle) Brown, Kimberly (Andy Marshall) Baer, Elizabeth (Chris) Friend; step-children, Linda Welly and Scott Lewis, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Julie Aldrich; grandchildren, Mason, Megan, Caden, Tiera, Madison, Keegan, Maddox, Aliyah, Carsyn, Kenleigh, Aeyla and Thatcher and several step grandchildren.
Viewing is Monday, March 10th, 3 pm - 6:30 pm, with his funeral service at 6:30 pm at Defiance Christian Church, 955 Standley Road, Defiance.
