Garry LaFountain, Sr.

Garry LaFountain, 73, of Paulding, Ohio, passed away Monday, February 21, 2022, at Divine Rehab Nursing in Sylvania, Ohio. 

Garry was born in Alliance, Ohio on June 10, 1948, a son of the late Eleanor (Beckler) & Thomas LaFountain.

Garry was a proud Marine and recipient of the Purple Heart Award. After his service, he worked for many years at GM as a millwright. Garry enjoyed hunting and messing around with his old truck. Above all, he was a hardworking, gentle man who loved his family immensely. 

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Dorothy; children Teresa Osborn, Julie Thome, Garry (JoEllen) LaFountain Jr., & Chastity Bell; siblings, Steve (Brenda) LaFountain & Sandra Chilcoat; grandchildren, Aaron (Ashley), Megan, Breanna (Jake), Jahnessa, Alyvia, Amber, Jeffrey, Wyatte, Cora, Tristin, Garry III, Jocelyn, & Zavian; 11 great grandchildren; & his dogs Pepe & Stormie. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Lafountain. 

Services will be held privately. 

He will be laid to rest at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. 

Memorials are to the charity of the donor's choice.
