Garry Young

Garry L. Young, 74, of Payne, passed away at 12:01 am, Thursday, November 19th, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Garry was born in Payne on May 14, 1935, a son of the late Lois (Ludwig) and Evard Young.

He was a farmer, who loved old tractors; a Harrison Twp. Trustee; member of the Payne Church of Christ, Payne Board of Public Affairs, Flatrock Masonic Lodge & 40 year member of the Payne Fire Dept & EMS.

On Oct 30, 1959 Garry married Anita Armstrong who survives.

Garry will be sadly missed by his wife, Anita; sons, Brian (Beth), Brad & Bob (Amy) all of Payne; sister, Sue (Joe) Meyer of Antwerp; sister-in-law, Jean of Payne & 4 grandchildren. His brother, Howard preceded him in death.

His funeral service is Monday, 11 am, at the Payne Church of Christ, with viewing one hour prior.

Viewing is also Sunday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, Payne.

He will be laid to rest at Lehman Cemetery.
