George Allen Helms

George Allen Helms, 83, of Paulding, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at The Gardens of Paulding.

George was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 20,1937, a son of the late Helen G (Davison) and Richard C Helms.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was an auto body repairman. He was a kind, caring, loving man who would take the time to help anyone.

On Feb. 14, 1979 he married Kathleen Maguire, who survives. He will also be sadly missed by his children, Rebecca Davis, Kati Helms, Jacqulyn Helms, George Helms, Jr. and Casey (Kasey) Helms; siblings, Rita (Ora) Stackhouse, Richard (Dorothy) Helms, Jr., Diana (Richard) Larimore, Donna (Larry) Garska, Dorothy (Roger) Gebhart, Pat (Bill) Speith, Mary (Scott) Roemer, Kristina (Gary) Kipker & James Helms; 7 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Sarah, Johnny & Phil Helms and Emily Jones.

His funeral service is 10:30 AM on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021 at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne. 

Viewing is Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, 9 am to 10:30 am

Due to state mandate, guests must wear masks at all times, maintain social distancing, and refrain from contact to keep everyone safe while participating in his viewing and funeral service.

Burial in Lehman Cemetery with military honors.
