Janet Baumert

Janet Louise Baumert passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at her home.

She was born July 26, 1936 to the late Rev. Gaylord E. and B. Louise Black in Van Wert County Ohio.

She married Ray E. Baumert June 25, 1955 and he preceded her in death March 17, 2015.

Surviving are 4 sons: Douglas K. Baumert of Columbia City, Jeffrey E. (Lori) Baumert of Garrett, Kevin R. (Kim) Baumert of Monroeville, and Keith A. (Rae Ann) Baumert of Woodburn. Grandchildren, Shaun (Leia) Baumert, Seth (Hilary) Baumert, Stephanie (Dewayne) Graber, Corinne (Nicholas) Meyer,  Eric (Janelle) Baumert, Alexandra (Chester) Bond, Maleah (Zach) Krumlauf; Great Grandchildren, Jackson, Kelan, Rozlynn, & Brice Baumert; Olivia, Elena, & Max  Baumert; Savanna, Grace, Grant, Dylan, & Colt Graber; Ethan & Audrey Meyer, Rylan & Raegan Baumert; & Myla Krumlauf. Also surviving are her brothers, Wayne Black and James (Pam) Black.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sue Gaskill and daughter in law, Joan Baumert.

Service is Friday, October 2nd at 11 AM with viewing from 9-11 AM at Dooley Funeral Home, Payne, Ohio. 

She will be laid to rest in Lehman Cemetery, Payne. 

Memorials are to Worship Anew or Saint James Lutheran Church, Payne.
