Jim Roberts

James (Jim) A Roberts, 86, of Antwerp passed away peacefully  Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Paulding County Hospital.

Born in Payne, on November 1, 1928, he was a son of  Rosa (Boyer) and Fredrick  Roberts.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Tona (Marquis); 4 sisters & 3 brothers.

Jim is survived by a sister, Mary Gower of Hicksville; 5 children, Tom of Antwerp, Martha (Tom) Dangler of Bryan, Janet (Dennis) Happel of Huntertown, IN, Tim (Patty) of Churubusco, IN & Laura (Jeff) Weaver of Payne; 6 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren.

Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army and he retired from BF Goodrich in 1990. He was a life member  of VFW Post 5087, American Legion Post 253, Am Vets Post 54 &  the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Viewing is Sunday, 2 to 6 pm  at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp.

His funeral service is at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp at 11 am on Monday, July 27th, with viewing one hour prior.

He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, with military honors by the Antwerp VFW.
