John "Cork" Woodcox

John C. "Cork" Woodcox, 69, of Long Beach Lake, Fremont, Indiana, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Allen County. 

Cork was born in Fort Wayne on August 26, 1948, a son of Elmer Woodcox, of Antwerp and the late Iona (Carr) Woodcox.

He was a graduate of Antwerp High School & Indiana Tech. He was a mechanical engineer at Freudenberg but was most comfortable golfing, hunting, fishing or cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. 

He will be sadly misssed by his father, Elmer of Antwerp, Ohio; children, John (Carla) of Crawfordsville, Indiana & Lori (Rick) of LaGrange, Indiana; partner, Linda Firsdon of Fremont, Indiana and grandchildren, John "Dusty" & Cayla Woodcox, Jacob, Jessica & Christin Hoover.

Cork was preceded in death by his mother, Iona (Carr), sister, Judy & granddaughter, Lexi.

His funeral service is 3 PM with viewing one hour prior on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp, Ohio

He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery.
