It was an honor to be at the bedside of such a man on his way to heaven. I love John and I always will. My husband, John and sons Johnny and Beau, have been touched by his life and his death. Beau will always consider John Lyons his second father. I will never forget or fail to appreciate the impact John has left on my sons. Cindy is my best friend and I am so happy she was able to have the time she had with John. I wish it were more. Cindy, I love you.

John was a good man - loving, caring, and sensitive to the concerns of others. Although he was going through a tough time with his own cancer, he took the time to show concern for me and my battle with cancer. He was always optimistic, trusting in the Lord, and putting his future in His hands. Even as we mourn here on Earth, John is sitting in the presence of our Lord, extremely joyful, wondering how we can be sad. I will truly miss John - it will take me quite a while to stop looking for him in the back pew at church. My deepest sympathies to Cindy and the children.

Working with John in many legal capacities was always challenging and interesting. He had my trust and respect as a very skilled advocate and mediator.

My thoughts are with you as you deal with this difficult time in filling the void he leaves. I know his many colleagues recognize his character and contributions in our legal community. Please know that he will be missed. With sympathy and prayers for your comfort.
