John Sheehan
John J. Sheehan, 94, of Payne passed away Sunday, March 25th, at Twin Rivers Care Center, Defiance.
John was born in Verona, Illinois on May 7, 1917, a son of the late Mamie (O'Hern) and Benjamin Sheehan.
John was a 1936 graduate of Latty High School and was a repairman at International Harvester, Fort Wayne for 35 years.
On July 16, 1941 he married Alice Adeline Line, who died March 18, 1987. On Dec. 31, 1997 he married Mary Jane Hyland. She died Nov 10, 2002.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Rita (Tony) Lamb of Angola, Steve (Becky) of Defiance, Stan (Chris) of Van Wert & Patricia (Jeff) Kroncke of Whitehouse; 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
He is also preceded in death by 8 siblings.
Viewing Wednesday, 4-8 pm and Thursday, 9 - 9:30 am at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Payne, at 10 am on Thursday, March 29th.
He will be laid to rest at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials are to St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery or Divine Mercy Catholic School.
