John William Taylor

John William Taylor, 58, of Antwerp, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at his home.

John was born in Celina, Ohio on October 1, 1963.

In high school, he was active in sports like baseball, basketball and football. As an adult, John was an avid golfer and remained a sports fan, especially for the Ohio State Buckeyes. John was a sales manager at Toolcraft, LLC in New Haven, Indiana. Above all, he was a loving husband and father, and he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. 

John will be sadly missed by his wife, Julie; children Katie (Brandon) Scharr, Rachael (Andrew) Skinner, & Tom Taylor; mother, Judith (Roger) Dix; siblings, Patricia Hoeffel & Melissa (Chad) Geyer; & grandchildren, Eloise Scharr & Nora, Julia, & Luke Skinner.

He was preceded in death by his father, John M. Taylor.

Viewing is Sunday, September 25, 2022, from 2 to 5 PM with a Rosary Service at 5 PM, at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River St., Antwerp, Ohio 45813.

Viewing is also Monday, September 26, 2022, from 9 to 9:30 AM at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 26, 2022, at 10 AM at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 303 Monroe St., Antwerp, Ohio 45813.
