Jordan Eugene Sheely went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 4, 2026.
Born on February 8, 1992, in Fort Wayne, Jordan was the youngest child of Kevin and Tina (Adams) Sheely of Spencerville. He grew up in Harlan and graduated from Woodlan Jr./Sr. High School in 2010 where he was drum major in the marching band, participated in musicals, and played soccer.
Jordan worked for Revive Home Brands (formerly Grabill Cabinets) for almost ten years. During his tenure, he advanced from paint mixer to Product Data Architect. He was respected for his innovative thinking, dedication, and strong work ethic.
Jordan was an adventurous spirit whose greatest joy came from flying his paramotor. He was an extremely skilled and well known pilot especially for his aerial acrobatics. He truly loved being in the air.
Driven by grit and determination, Jordan overcame many challenges throughout his life. In the last eighteen months, he found faith in Jesus Christ and experienced a deep sense of peace and happiness that transformed his life.
Jordan is survived by his parents, Kevin and Tina Sheely; his sister, Megan (Evan) Mitchell of Albion; and his brother, Logan (Cassandra) Sheely of Payne. Although Jordan did not have children of his own, he was a devoted uncle to his eight nieces and nephews—Imogen, Eugene, Wesley Rae, Eleanor, Oliver, Kestrel, Viola, and Charles—who all absolutely adore him. He was also beloved nephew to Claudia (Gary) Elliott, Dave (Jan) Sheely, Neva (Jim) Greenwood, Mindy (Steve) Lee, Rob Sheely, and Alby (Robert) Reyes. He was cherished by his friends, work family, and his very special flying community.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugene and Virginia Sheely, George and Donna Adams, and his uncle, Lawrence Sheely.
On May 28, 2026, Jordan suffered a catastrophic paramotor accident. Though his earthly journey ended far too soon, his faith, adventurous spirit, determination, and love for his family will continue to inspire all who knew him. Jordan’s final earthly gift was being an organ donor.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jordan’s life on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, with visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Harlan United Methodist Church, 16434 State Road 37, Harlan, Indiana.
Visitation will continue on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at the church, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 10:30 a.m. A luncheon will be served immediately afterward, with interment to follow at Middle Creek Cemetery in Grover Hill, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, 636 Morris Turnpike, Suite 3A, Short Hills, New Jersey 07078 (ChristopherReeve.org/donate), or to Jordan’s nieces’ and nephews’ education funds (checks payable to Tina Sheely).
Fond memories may be shared at dooleyfuneralhome.com
