Judith "Granny" Bernard

Judith "Granny" Ann Bernard (Richardson) of Antwerp passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday August 9, 2014.

She is survived by her son, Brian (Ann) DeWaters, of Garret IN, daughter , Veronica Tennant of Leslie MI, her 8 grandchildren, Tera (Matt) DeWaters of Garret IN, Shaun (Grace) DeWaters of Florence KY, Kasey (Kyle)Showalter of Latty , Brandi DeWaters of Van Wert, Joshua (Brooke) Tennant of Jackson MI, Bradley Tennant of Long Beach CA, Katie (Kyle) Fore of Colorado Springs & Melissa (Alan) Rose of Butler, IN; siblings, Robert (Mary) Henderson of Springport MI, Betty (Jimmy) Jordon of Huntsville TX, Kathy Farill of Trinity TX, and Janice Richards of Rives Junction MI.  Judy is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.  

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Margaret Henderson and two brothers, James Henderson and Joseph Henderson.  

Judy was the oldest of 7 siblings.  She helped to raise her brothers and sisters, raised her own children, help raise some of her brothers and sisters children and took on the task of raising 4 of her grandchildren.

Judy was a long standing citizen of the community, and worked for the Paulding County Commissioners office before her retirement.  

Judy was loved by many and will be dearly missed.  She had a beautiful smile and loved to make people laugh.  She was strong, tough and loving.

Her memorial service is Thursday, 6 pm, with visitation after 5 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne, Ohio.
