Justus Seymour Hand, 95, of Antwerp, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home, Hicksville. 

Justus was born in Paulding on August 10, 1920, a son of the late Maude Ethel (Egger) & Jay Andrew Hand.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Seymour was a hard working farmer, who was just as content winning at cards! He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Fairview Grange & Zephyr Hills Community Band & Chorus.

He was the loving husband of Iona "Sue" (nee. Booth) whom he married September 25, 1943; caring father of Janet (Terry) Foust of Grand Rapids, MI, David (Debra) & Roger (Jennifer) Hand of both Antwerp; brother-in-law, Nathan Keel of Swanton; 5 grandchildren, Jassmine (Foust) Reyes, Daniel Foust and Andrew, Casey, & Irenia Hand and 7 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Bernice Marcom, Beatrice Sprow, Alberta Fuerst, Maude Ankney, Irene, Dale & Nancy Hand.

Viewing is Thursday, 5 to 8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp. 

His funeral service is at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp at 11 am on Friday, June 24th, with viewing one hour prior. 

He will be laid to rest at Forest Home Cemetery, with military honors.
