Leona Irene Taylor, 96, of Antwerp, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at her residence.
Leona was born in Allen County, Indiana on July 27, 1917, a daughter of the late Mina (Rumbaugh) and Ray Hissong.
On Feb. 11, 1938 she married Raymond Taylor, who died Dec. 3, 1994.
She will be sadly missed by her children Virgil Taylor & Karen Messman, both of Antwerp; siblings, Anna Lucas of Farmer, Donald (Catherine) Hissong of Fort Wayne & Charles (Katie) Hissong of Woodburn; 7 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren & 9 great great grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death are her siblings, Delores Gustin, Beatrice Hammond, Glen, Raymond & Zelda Hissong.
Viewing is Monday, 4-8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp.
Her funeral service is at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp at 11 am on Tuesday, April 22nd, with viewing one hour prior.
She will be laid to rest at Scipio Cemetery.
