LeRoy William Slattery
LeRoy Slattery, 93, of Antwerp, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011 at his residence.
He was born in Hicksville on November 25, 1917, a son of the late Kathryn (Bridenbaugh) and Frank Slattery.
He was a farmer and owned & operated his own sawmill. Leroy also provided transportation for several Amish families.
He was a member of Antwerp United Methodist Church and sung in quartets when he was younger.
On December 26, 1943 he married Frances Drexler, who survives.
LeRoy will be sadly missed by his wife, Frances; sons, Ronald (Cindy) of Antwerp & Lynn (Carol) of Oviedo, FL; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
His funeral service is at Antwerp United Methodist Church, 202 E. River Street, Antwerp at 2 pm on Sunday, February 13th, with Rev. Michael Schneider officiating. There is no visitation.
He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery.
