Lillian M. Powell

Lillian  M. Powell, 90, of Woodburn, Indiana, formerly of Van Wert, Ohio passed
away Friday, March 18, 2011 at Parkview Hospice, Fort Wayne.

Lillian was born in Kenosha, WI on July 31, 1920, a daughter of the late
Mary (Lootens) and Bruno  Persyn.

She was a  homemaker & a member of First United Brethren in Christ
Church, Van Wert & the Ladies Auxiliary of Van Wert Camp of Gideons
International.

On Dec 23, 1942 she married Herbert Powell, who passed away March 7, 1988.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Karl (Shirley) of Woodburn,
Edward (Jan) of Roanoke, Marianne Knotts of Fort Wayne; siblings, Robert
Persyn of Fort Wayne & Clara Reeb of Antwerp; 14 grandchildren; 34 great
grandchildren & 19 great great grandchildren.

Lillian is also preceded in death by her son, John, sister, Estella
Coonrod & grandson, Jeff.

Her funeral service is at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River St.,
Antwerp, Ohio at 10 am on Tuesday, March 22nd,  with viewing one hour
prior. Rev. Jody Harr will officiate.

Viewing is also Monday, 4 to 8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home.

She will be laid to rest at Scipio Cemetery.
