I was fortunate to serve with Lonnie on the Paulding County Carnegie Library Board until his retirement. He always listened and heard opinions before calling for a vote. Board members respected Lonnie and his fairness. Sending lots of hugs, blessings and prayers to his much-loved family. Cherish all of those wonderful family memories and hold them close to your hearts.

Condolences to Lonnie's family! I remember him as my driver's ed teacher. I hated those curvy roads, and it was always my turn to drive on them! He gave me the confidence to conquer those curves! Rest in peace!

Lonnie was my biology teacher and drivers Ed instructor at Antwerp in the early 70's. One of my memories was he was teaching class and someone was sleeping. He didn't miss a beat, picked up a trash can, kept on teaching and dropped it as loud as he could beside the kid! Made the class laugh but not the kid that woke up. Then when I went to teach at PEVS he was there as a colleague. Good guy. Will be missed.
