Margaret Hissong

Margaret M. Hissong, 95, of Antwerp, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville.

Margaret was born in Antwerp on November 5, 1925, a daughter of the late Mary (Zuber) Meyer and Edward Meyer.

She was the epitome of the word, Lady. Margaret was a kind, caring person with a wonderful sense of humor. She devoted her life to God and her family.

On May 15, 1948 Margaret was united in marriage with Glen Hissong. Glen passed away on July 2, 2012. Margaret was also preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Patricia Swann and brother, Virgil Meyer.

She will be sadly missed by her siblings, Mary Lou Slusher, Rama Sarazin, Norman & Robert Meyer; her nieces and nephews, & step-grandchildren.

Viewing will be held 4 PM to 6:30 PM on Thursday, August 19th at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp. A Catholic Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 PM at the funeral home.

Viewing will also be held 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Friday, August 20th at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, August 20th at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 303 Monroe Street, Antwerp.

She will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
