Marie J. Dooley

Marie J. Dooley, 76, of Antwerp, formerly of Philadelphia, PA passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia.

Marie was born in Philadelphia on June 19, 1934, a daughter of the late Mary (Murphy) and Victor J. Ruffenach.

On May 1, 1954, she married Robert Dooley. She spent most of her life in funeral service until her husband's death on Ocober 6, 2002.

She was active member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church (formerly Good Shepherd Church), where she had been a volunteer school librarian for many years and the O'Mahoney Club, both in Philadelphia.

She moved to Antwerp in 2003. She thoroughly enjoyed her friends in the Red Hat Society, her book club and bunco meetings.

Marie was a devout member of Divine Mercy Catholic Parish of Paulding County.

She will be sadly missed by her six children, Robert (Michelle), Kevin (Nanette), Maureen, Brian (Milian), Cathleen (James) & Shawn (Michelle); sisters-in-law, Eleanor & Anne Ruffenach & Lucy Cohen; 18 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Also preceding her in death are her brothers, Victor II, Charles & Joseph Ruffenach and one great granddaughter.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Monday, February 14, 2011 at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 67th Street & Chester Avenue in Philadelphia.

Viewing will be from 9 am to 10:30 am at the church.

She will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
