Mike and Lydia, my deepest sympathy at the passing of Mario. I went to school with him and hung out at the races with him. He was always a very caring and compassionate man. He had a heart of gold. He may be with the angels now but will never be forgotten.

We are saddened to learn of Mario's passing. Multiple times Mario rescued us from very stressful situations. Once when we first moved to Antwerp he drove out in the dark of night to help get our mangled car off the highway after Tim had collided with a deer and lost the battle. Then he amazingly put our car back together and we drove it many more miles.
Another time Sandi and her disabled car needed rescued from Indiana. Mario and his buddy calmed the situation and we even saw deer on the way home in the wrecker. He was so kind. And yet again he fixed our car so well that we drove it for many miles and then so did Tim's mom and dad.
He has also helped Tim's brother Mike salvage his car from the deep ditch on hwy 24 just as they were leaving Antwerp on the icy roadways.
Our family is very grateful to Mario. We are very sorry for your loss.

Many years ago Mario would come into Battershell 5&10 Store, in Antwerp. We sold model cars that Mario purchased. He would often come back and show us his modifications to the model. Very impressive and nice of him to take the time to demonstrate his creativity. He has a kind soul!! God Bless all of you!!
