Marion "Bud" Mabis

Marion "Bud" Mabis, 83, of Antwerp, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at Vancrest of Payne.

Bud was born in Monroeville, Indiana on April 5, 1938, a son of the late Beatrice Norwood and Merle Mabis.

It was evident to everyone who knew Bud that his passion in life was God, family and friends. Since Bud never knew a stranger, everyone was his friend. He was a master woodcrafter. He worked at Bill Paige, Don Hallack, Chris Stauffer Builders for 18 years, Schroeder Home Improvement, Mabis Brothers Construction/Cabinets and then retired from Spec-Temp after 26 years of service.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Mary (Butt), to whom he was married to on July 15, 1956; children, Matthew (Jamie Stark), Martha (Stanley) Carr & Mark; sister, Betty Shambaugh; grandchildren, Misty, Chris, Kati, Taylor and great grandson, Hunter.

Bud was also preceded in death by his daughter, Rolene Parker; grandson, Elmer Carr and siblings, Bob, Don & Darlene.

His graveside service is at Wiltsie Cemetery, 7955 Road 51, Payne, Ohio 45880 on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 10 am. You may arrive at the cemetery after 9:45 am.
