Marvin J. Smallwood

Marvin J. Smallwood, 69 of Paulding, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Brookview Healthcare Center, Defiance.

Marvin was born in Manchester, Kentucky on April 15, 1951, a son of the late James & Alpha (Roberts) Smallwood.

His family moved to McComb, Ohio in time for Marvin to attend high school there. He loved to play basketball, which he continued into his two years of college.

Marvin worked in construction most of his life, but was most comfortable coaching University of Kentucky basketball games from his living room!

He will be sadly missed by his long time companion, Kathy Scott and her son, Edward Scott and Marvin's nephew, Anthony Smallwood. He was also the brother of Eugene and Ted Smallwood.

Kathy would like to acknowledge the great care that Marvin received from the staff of Brookview Healthcare and Elara Hospice, especially over the last for days while Kathy and Edward were by his side.

Services are not planned at this time.
