Mary Louise Mabis, 89, of Antwerp passed away at Vancrest of Payne, Saturday, November 28, 2020.

Mary Lou was born in Hicksville on June 21, 1931, to the late Ila (Saylor) and Dearl Singleton. 

She always made her family top priority, taking pride in her children and loved being a grandmother always making sure to keep a snack drawer ready when they would come to visit.

Mary Lou & her husband Bob operated  M & B Lawn & Garden for many years from their home.  She worked alongside Bob and became the parts manager, bookkeeper, and head go-for the business. The knowledge that she gained from this business lead her into a job at C & C Distributor in Ft Wayne Indiana for a number of years after M & B closed.  

She will be sadly missed by her children, Tylene (Bill) Boylan, Twila (Gary) Demongeot, & Rick (Nancy) Mabis; siblings, Betty Singleton & Shirley Miller; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grand children; & 4 great great grandchildren with 1 more on the way!

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Bob, whom she married in 1950, & siblings, Richard Singleton, Carolyn Wann, Vada Singleton, Genevieve Baumgart, Mollie Thompson, Max Singleton, & Barbara Miller. 

Mary Lou's service is Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 10:30 AM with viewing one hour prior at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River St., Antwerp. 

Due to state mandate, guests must wear masks at all times, maintain social distancing, and refrain from contact to keep everyone safe while participating in Mary Lou's viewing and funeral service.

She will be laid to rest at Wiltsie Cemetery in Payne. 

Memorials are to the American Cancer Society or Paulding County Dog Kennel
