Michael M. Brigner, 64, of Payne, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Paulding County Hospital.
Mike was born on September 16, 1960 in Celina, Ohio, a son of Dorothy (Wolfe) Helms & Mac Brigner.
Mike was the co-owner of Brigner Trucking and a dedicated family man, married to his high school sweetheart, Deb, on April 6, 1979. They shared many joyful years together, raising a family and creating lasting memories. Mike was also deeply involved in his community, serving as the former mayor of Payne and being an active member of both the Friends of the Payne Legion and the Payne American Legion. He enjoyed family vacations to Myrtle Beach and Las Vegas, and was a passionate fan of Ohio State, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cincinnati Reds. Whether playing golf with family and friends or sharing a laugh with those around him, Mike’s quick wit and sense of humor brought joy to many. Above all, he will be remembered for his love and devotion as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Debra (Thompson); children, Lindsay (Zachary) Moore & Whitney Brigner; parents; Dorothy (Rick) Helms & Mac (Debbie) Brigner; siblings, Chris (Tammy) Brigner, Jodi (Dale) Stoller, & Wes (Michelle) Brigner; step-siblings, Becky (Rodger) Fitzpatrick, Susan (Paul) Andorfer, & Judy (Scott) Walter; grandchildren, Preston, Brenna, & Rylin Moore; & great grandchildren, Tatum & Clara Moore.
Viewing will be Sunday, November 17th from 2-7 PM at Dooley Funeral Home, Payne.
Service will be Monday, November 18th at 10:30 AM with viewing one hour prior at Woodburn Missionary Church, 5108 Bull Rapids Rd, Woodburn, IN 46797.
He will be laid to rest in Lehman Cemetery, Payne.
Memorials are to the Payne American Legion or the Payne Fire Association.
