Norman Wayne Bellinger, 89, of Leo, passed away Monday, September 29, 2025 at Lincolnshire Place, Fort Wayne.
Norm was born in Fort Wayne on May 31, 1936, a son of the late Ila (Coen) & Wayne Bellinger.
Norm was a proud veteran of the Indiana National Guard and a dedicated worker throughout his life, serving in roles such as a brick mason, courier at Grabill Bank, driver at Vorderman Auto, and most notably, spending 30 years at International Harvester. Married for 52 years to the love of his life, Arlene (Kryder), Norm built a life rooted in hard work, faith, and love. He grew up on his family farm, where his passion for animals and 4-H began, and carried that love throughout his life. Norm enjoyed working on cars, motorcycles with lots of chrome, and woodworking, and found great joy at Hamilton Lake—water skiing well into his 70s. Norm enjoyed motorcycle trips with his friends. A fan of old westerns, IU sports, and the Indianapolis Colts, he brought positivity and warmth to every room. He was also a longstanding member of Leo Methodist Church. Norm was a kind-hearted, tireless man who truly never knew a stranger.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Jan (the late Norm) Hoeppner; grandchildren; Justin, Jessica, & Sally; great grandchildren, Luke, Faith, Bailey, Colten, Jack, Max, Simon, & Eva.
Norm was preceded in death by his wife Arlene, who passed away August 1, 2006.
Viewing is Thursday October 2nd from 3-7 PM at the Leo Methodist Church.
Service is Friday, October 3rd at 2:30 PM with viewing one hour prior at the church.
