Paul D. Copsey, 88 of Paulding passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Genesis Healthcare, Bryan.
He was born September 13, 1928 in Paulding a son of the late Charles & Norma (Burkley) Copsey.
Although Paul was a tow motor operator at General Motors and a reserve Sheriff deputy, he was most content at Copsey Stables, raising horses. He was a member of the Paulding VFW and Eagles and the Harness Horsemen Association.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Shirley Bowers & Judy Davis of Paulding, Paulette (Dan) Dangler of Aspen, CO & Paul, Jr. “Buck” Copsey of Ashford, WA; sister, Gladys Utterbach of Payne; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his wives, Mary Ellen (Williams) & Louise (Sinn); brothers, Pete & Bill Copsey; grandson, Travis Davis & son-in-law, Tim Bowers
Service Saturday, August 5, 2017, 10 am at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne with viewing one hour prior.
Viewing is also Friday 5 – 8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home.
He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery.
