To Paul's siblings, neices and nephews....you have my sympathy and condolences.  Like you, I am pretty much in shock that my Classmate and friend since 8th (?) grade (when St. John's School students began attending the Public School) is no longer with us.  Just unbelievable!

There are so many fond memories of Paul and me that space will not permit recounting all of them.  From driving our motorcycles to the north edge of Defiance for the purpose of obtaining our 'Motorcycle Endorsements' (which we both did on the first try!) to having Paul work with me in my painting business shortly after our graduating from High School in 1972 to working with him on Payne's historic Nickel Plate Railroad depot and caboose.

On a more personal note, I have to admit that Paul was good for me....he made me laugh, taught me patience, made me slow down and recognize how fortunate I was not to be burdened with a developmental disability (which we all know didn't slow him down!!!).  In reflecting on our near lifelong friendship these last couple of days, I've concluded that Paul was indeed, a blessing to me, perhaps all of us, sent by God, if not for the aforementioned, a reminder of how short (and precious) life is.

I'm going to miss you dear friend, I'm going to miss you. You'll not be forgotten and you will be fondly remembered by your Family, your Classmates, your many other friends and me.
