Ray Martenies

Raymond L. Martenies, Jr. 54, of Antwerp passed away at 4 am, Tuesday, October 27th, at his residence.

Ray was born in Hillsdale, Michigan on June 17, 1955, a son of Lois (Clark) Martenies, of Antwerp and the late Raymond Martenies, Sr.

Ray was a 1973 graduate of Hicksville High School & a member of the Hicksville Eagles.

On May 8, 1976 Ray married Vanice Shidler, who survives. He will be sadly missed by his wife & mother; daughter, Nicole (Bill) Phares of Antwerp; son, Jarod of Bloomington, IN; sisters, Robin (Craig) Pessefall of Sherwood & Rosalind Hawn of Antwerp; brothers, Steve (Diane) of Fayette, Ricky (Sindie) of Hicksville; Rodney (Joy) of Montpelier & Royce (Candius) of Edon; grandchildren Kaden & Kati Phares.

Funeral services are at First Baptist Church of Antwerp at 11 am on Saturday, October 31st, with Rev. Jim Edwards officiating.

Viewing is Friday, 2-8 pm, at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp and Saturday, one hour prior to services, at the church.
