Robert "Bob" A. McLaren

Robert A. McLaren, 73, of Antwerp,  passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Laurels of Defiance.

Bob was born in Carleton, MI on April 23, 1944 a son of the late William & Maryanne (Kingham) McLaren.

Bob attended the Rock Church in Oakwood & worked at General Motors in Defiance but was a family man, motor cycle enthusiast and fisherman at heart.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Laura (LaPan) whom he married Aug 8, 1964; children, Pamela (Charles) Smith of Antwerp; Ernest "Fred" (Ann) of Grand Rapids, Duane (Teresa) of Warne, NC & Benjamin (Beverley) of Defiance; siblings, Laurel Hales, Florence Lee, John all of Saginaw, MI & Raymond of Minnesota; grandchildren, Lisa Smith, Anthony, Amanda, Angel, Joe & Laura & great grandchildren, Logan Friesner, Anthony, Reina & Elena Kleman, Lexie & Karlee.

Bob was also preceded in death by his siblings, Eva, Jerry & Dale. 

His funeral service is 11 AM on Saturday, March 10th at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, with viewing one hour prior.

Viewing is also Friday, 4 - 7 pm at Dooley Funeral Home.
