I was so sadden to hear of Gizmo's passing. He has been a long time friend. I have many fond memories of the old Antwerp days "Float-Ins", with Gizmo. He loved to be on the river so much. He was always ready to help anyone with anything. A super great guy...Antwerp will not be the same without you my friend. RIP

Gizmo gave me a walking stick in 1977. He said I bet you won't keep it. He lost the bet. I still have it. My condolences to his family.

To all Gizmo's family, Please know that you all have my sincere and deepest sympathy at the lose of a great family member and friend. As a friend of mine, we go way back to the days when we were neighbors and I sometimes would baby-sit for the Millers. The past few weeks before he got sick, I would sit with him in church and he'd call me his "ole baby sitter". On March 22nd, we shared a table together at the church when they had an afternoon potluck and a special speaker answering vegetable garden questions. (I learned more from Giz.) He was telling me how good he felt and I was so happy for him. I can't get over how fast things changed. According to the West Bend News that I just now read, he was at the Gardens of Paulding. I wish I had known that so I could have visited him. But maybe it's best that I remember him most from the last time I seen him at church. Again, I express my very deepest sympathy to all of his loved ones. You are all in my prayers.
