Rose Ann Shawyer, 71, of Van Wert, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012 at her residence.
Rose Ann was born in Antwerp, Ohio on March 27, 1941, a daughter of the late Vesta (Shipman) and Gerald Hawkins.
She worked for WalMart for 16 years, but since 1999 she was affectionately known as "The Fabric Lady" at the Van Wert WalMart.
On July 9, 1978 Rose Ann married Gale Shawyer.
Rose Ann will be sadly missed by her husband, Gale; children, Tamara (Brent) Goode, Traci (Mark) Hewitt, both of Lafayette, IN, Terri Waschezyn of Elmira Heights, NY, Tonya (Ralph) Copley of Victor, CO & Todd of Van Wert; brother, Larry Hawkins of Brooksville, FL & 7 grandchildren.
Viewing is Sunday, 2 to 6 pm, at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp, Ohio.
Her funeral service is at Dooley Funeral Home at 6 pm on Sunday, July 29, 2012.
Memorials are to American Cancer Society.
