Rose Derck

Rose Ann Derck, 73, of Antwerp, passed away Wednesday, September 9th, 2009 at her son's residence.

Rose was born in Fort Wayne on July 28, 1936, the daughter of the late Aloysius and Irene (Elliott) Schmidt.

She was a homemaker & a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Parish of Paulding County.

On Sept. 11, 1954, Rose married Gerald Derck, who died Dec. 17, 2001.

Rose will be sadly missed by her daughter, Diane (Tony) Green; sons, Ken (Nancy), Gary (Pat) & Keith (Beth) all of Antwerp; sister, Mildred (Richard) Wannemacher; brother, Richard (Joan) Schmidt, both of Payne & 11 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Antwerp, at 10 am on Saturday, September 12th, with Rev G. Allan Fillman officiating.

Viewing is Friday 2-8 pm, with a vigil service at 8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp. You may also call, Saturday, 9-9:30 am at Dooley's.

She will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery.

Her family requests donations to American Cancer Society or Divine Mercy Catholic School.
