Ruth Kay Eschbach

Ruth "Shorty" Eschbach, 70, of Payne, Ohio, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Paulding County Hospital.

Ruth was born in Paulding on November 23, 1951, a daughter of the late Beulah (Zartman) and Norman  Eschbach.

She retired from Pyromation but she will be remembered most for her "professional" popcorn popping! Ruth loved to bowl in leagues and sing in the church choir. She was known to cheer for Ohio State sports, watch Andy Griffith, the Sound of Music and Hallmark movies. Her thoughtfulness will never be forgotten by her family and friends.

Ruth will be sadly missed by her siblings, Bill (the late Teen) Eschbach, Judy (Ray) Lyons and Robert (Kimberly) Eschbach and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Wednesday, July 27th, 4 pm to 7 pm, with the rosary recited at 7 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne.

Funeral Mass is 9:30 AM on Thursday, July 28th at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 203 W Townline Street, Payne.

She will be laid to rest at St John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Payne.

Memorials are for Masses said in Ruth's memory or to Divine Mercy Catholic School. Either memorial may be mailed to Divine Mercy, 417 N. Main Street, Paulding 45879.

Fond memories may be shared at dooleyfuneralhome.com

FLOWERS AND OTHER TRIBUTES MAY BE DELIVERED ON WEDNESDAY, 9 AM TO 1:30 PM TO THE FLOWER DELIVERY ENTRANCE AT THE PAYNE FUNERAL HOME.

Judy, Ray and the rest of the Eschbach family,
I was saddened to hear about Ruth and will remain praying for you all as you move forward in your grief. As a good friend of Judy's I remember many adventures that Ruth was either involved with on the sidelines or that we tried to hide from her in the event she would tell Beulah!!! I do seem to remember an even where we ate all the chocolate chips out of the cookies.....Ruth was also so nice to talk too! She always had the latest information and when I asked about people in Judy and I'd class. Prayers will continue
