Ruth E. Hart

Ruth E. Hart, 86, of Antwerp, Ohio passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 at Vancrest of Hicksville.

Ruth was born in St. Joe, Indiana on January 21, 1937, a daughter of the late Ellen (White) and Paul  Fetters.

Her life was always shared with her family and her church. From working at the Antwerp Exchange Bank and with her husband, Lester at Hart's Auto Parts to working funeral dinners at the Methodist Church, Ruth's life was always about service to others. She will always be remembered as that kind, yet feisty lady that loved her family and friends. Still today, many people cherish the influence Ruth had on them while taking piano lessons from her.  

Ruth will be sadly missed by her children, Randy (Toni) Getrost, Kathy (Kelly) Whitney, Ronnie Getrost and Barbara (Aaron) Butzin; siblings Esther (Steve) Gandee; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. 

She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Wendell Jerry Getrost and Lester Hart and brothers, Arnold and Ervin Fetters and mother-in-law, Goldie Getrost.

Ruth's funeral service is at the Antwerp Global Methodist Church, 202 E. River Street, Antwerp on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 10:30 AM, with viewing one hour prior.

She will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
