Since 1968, when we were blessed with our budding friendship with Shirley, Jim, the awesome children, and the entire Family, her beautiful smile, no nonsense warmth, and, "welcome to our Family" attitude gave the six of us a huge sense of "Come in, new friends...you're ALWAYS welcome, here!". No matter where...Harlan, her Lake James home, our house, one of the many Family band's dances, vacation visits to her home or ours in Ft. Wayne, Denver, or Grandview, Mo...relaxed, back-home enjoyment of everyone was the main ingredient from Shirley's heart! And, her cooking...where could one begin!!! We SOOO look forward to being reunited! In the meantime, finding the right place to hold thoughts of Shirley, is our job. "Get busy!"
