Violet Rosetta Cass, 82, of Payne, Ohio passed away at home Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
Violet was born in Tallmansville, West Virginia on April 5, 1943, a daughter of the late Virginia L. (Hemmings) and Rev. Paul L. Upole.
She spent four years at God's Bible School after high school. She was a shoe inspector for Wolverine World Wide for 19 years and was a valued employee for 38 years at Wendy's in Big Rapids, Michigan. The only thing stronger than the love she had for her family was her faith. She loved to travel to the places she lived to show her family where she grew up. Violet thoroughly enjoyed music, reading and sewing and never missed an episode of Big Brother or Amazing Race!
Violet will be greatly missed by her children, Esther Cass, Amy (Jim) Chaffin and Joseph (Beckie) Bunker-Cass; siblings, Paul Upole, Sue (the late Jim) Hilgerman, Steve (Faye) Upole, Phillip (Celia) Upole and Beth (Greg) Bollenbacher; sister-in-law, Joan Upole; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Cass; siblings, Ann Kuhn, Ruth Burkey and Joseph Upole and great grandson, Oliver Dettloff.

Violet's funeral service is 11 AM on Monday, January 5th at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne.
She will be laid to rest in Lehman Cemetery, Payne.
