Wayne F. Copsey

Wayne F. Copsey, 90, of Payne, Ohio passed away at home on Wednesday, October 7, 2026

Wayne was born in Payne on September 10, 1936, a of the late Dela Mae (Franks) and Clarence Franklin Copsey.

On July 14, 1956, Wayne married the love of his life, Evelyn and shared 68 years of marriage together. He worked for Navistar for 30 years and Magnavox for 14 years. Wayne was very active in his church serving as an usher, Eucharistic distributor, school board president, Holy Name president, chairman for the festirama, and moderators for youth group. Wayne also loved nature, especially watching and feeding the birds. He loved his John Deere, landscaping ,and planting his garden. Photography was a hobby of his, taking pictures of his endeavors and family activities.

Wayne will be sadly missed by his children, Bruce and Angela (Brian) Santo; grandchildren, Nathan and Tiffany May and siblings, Maxine (the late Fred) Mock, Evelyn (Howard) Molthan and Orval Copsey and sister-in-law, Eloise Copsey.

He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Marcia, Ernest and Alvin.

Wayne's Mass of Christian Burial in Friday, October 9th, 11 AM at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 203 W. Townline Street, Payne.

He will be laid to rest in St John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Payne.

Memorials are to Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 417 N. Main Street, Payne, Ohio 45880 to be used for St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Payne.
