William J. Slone
William J. Slone, 74, of Paulding, passed away Sunday, March 3rd, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Bill was born in Mousie, Kentucky on April 22, 1938, a son of the late Margaret (Casebolt) & Roosevelt Slone.
He was a tread booker at BF Goodrich for 29 years and had worked for Kentucky Gas & Oil. Bill had a wonderful sense of humor and loved hunting, fishing & woodworking.
On May 16, 1958 he married Marcella Watkins.
Bill will be sadly missed by his wife, Marcella children, Carla Blair of Vicksburg, MI, Janie Flynn of Payne & Daniel of Paulding; sisters, Mary Kestel of Dema, KY & Clotine Hicks of Payne; 9 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild. also preceding him in death are his sisters, Sabrina Jones & Lois & Betty Powers.
Viewing is Thursday, 4 to 7 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne.
His service is at Dooley Funeral Home of Payne, at 2 pm on Friday, March 8th, with viewing one hour prior.
He will be laid to rest at Wiltsie Cemetery.
